CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education

Description

Overview: This nationally accredited qualification is suitable to participants who work or would like to gain employment in a childcare education and care environment. This qualification is the current industry minimum standard to become a qualified assistant and educator in a childcare centre.  Participants will gain knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. Participants will gain the skills to support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Participants are required to complete work placement of a minimum 120 hours in an approved childcare centre. Australian Training Institute can assist you with finding a suitable centre or participants can source their own.

Duration

Online / Self-Paced + classroom + a minimum 120 hours of work placement within a childcare setting. The student has 12 months to complete the qualification.

HLTAID004 requires a practical component which consists of 1 day at our Sandgate location or it will need to be completed through another provider (please note additional fees will apply if completed though another provider).

Anaphylaxis

Description

Overview:  This course is accredited training that includes information about allergies and anaphylaxis, recognising signs and symptoms, managing and treating an allergic reaction (including administration) and minimising the risk of exposure to allergens in children’s service. This anaphylaxis course is now a national requirement in Childcare facilities to work as a Child Care worker.

Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisite units required to enrol into this course under the training package, however participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and e-mail access.

Licence & Regulatory Requirements: It is recommended by industry councils and legislations that this course is renewed every 3 years.

Asthma

Description

Overview: Asthma Training Course is accredited training that includes information about; what asthma is; how to recognise asthma; who gets asthma and why; how you can help someone with asthma, and minimising the risk of exposure to triggers in children’s services. This asthma course is now a national requirement in Childcare facilities to work as a Child Care worker.

Duration

Option 1:

Pre-course work:

Online/self-paced training (approximately 2-4 hours depending on the individual learner and their personal circumstances and other commitments) this training involves reading, activities and exams. Online training must be completed prior to the face to face training.

Face-to-face work:

1 hour face-to-face (approximately) your trainer will deliver practical training.
