Be prepared to respond to a wide range of emergency situations. This HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (including CPR) course delivers nationally accredited CPR and first aid training, equipping you with the practical skills to provide immediate care until professional help arrives.
This course is the minimum requirement under Workplace Health and Safety legislation for a designated workplace first aider. Completing first aid and CPR training ensures you meet compliance obligations while gaining the confidence to manage real-life incidents both in and outside the workplace.

This CPR & First Aid course is suitable for students who are new to First Aid, as well as those who have previously completed First Aid training and need a refresher course.
This course includes CPR training (HLTAID009).

- The DRSABCD action plan and how to apply it in real scenarios
- CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants
- Safe and effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- How to respond to cardiac emergencies and provide life-saving CPR
- How to assess risk, ensure scene safety, and provide basic emergency life support
- Managing injuries including bleeding, burns, fractures, and shock
- Responding to medical emergencies such as asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures, and cardiac events
- How to provide ongoing care until professional help arrives
- Safe manual handling and casualty management
- Legal responsibilities and duty of care as a first aider

On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following units:
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
The training package for this course requires participants to perform at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of CPR on adult and infant resuscitation manikins positioned on the floor.
Licence & Regulatory Requirements
It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) that HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is completed every 3 years to remain current with the ARC guidelines.
It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) that HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation is completed every 12 months to remain current with the ARC guidelines.

Public Bookings
Pre-course work:
Online/self-paced training (approximately 3-5 hours depending on the individual student and their personal circumstances and other commitments). This online training involves reading interactive modules and then using this information to complete a final exam. Online training must be completed prior to the face-to-face training.
Face-to-face work:
3.5 hours face-to-face (approximately) your trainer will deliver practical training.
