Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID007)


Our Provide Advanced Resuscitation course gives participants the skills and knowledge required to provide advanced resuscitation in an emergency situation. Participants will learn how to utilise specialised first aid equipment; stabilise a casualty where medical aid has been delayed; maintain life in an unconscious casualty with the use of oxygen equipment; and operate a defibrillator unit in order to maintain life in an adult casualty in cardiac arrest.

There are no pre-requisite units required to enrol into this course under the training package, however participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and e-mail access. Participants must be able to bend and kneel on the floor to perform CPR for at least 2 minutes.

Licence & Regulatory Requirements: 

It is recommended by industry councils and legislation that this course is renewed every 12 months.

On successful completion participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following units:

HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Option 1:

Pre-course work:

Online/self-paced training (approximately 2-3 hours depending on the individual learner and their personal circumstances and other commitments) this training involves reading, activities and exams. Online training must be completed prior to the face to face training.

Face-to-face work:

2 hours face-to-face (approximately) your trainer will deliver practical training.

Option 2: Group bookings only- blended delivery or 4 hours face-to-face.

This unit is recommend to be renewed every 12 months

Fees include all assessments and resources required in the classroom (and for pre-course online training) – learners should wear appropriate clothing to kneel and bend in.

Note for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment.  We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
