Combined Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Low Voltage Rescue LVR (UETDRRF004) & CPR

Overview:

This course combines the Provide First Aid and LVR course. Provide First Aid (previously known as Senior First Aid/Level 2 Apply First Aid) is the minimum requirement under the Workplace Health and Safety Legislation for a workplace first aider. However, all persons are encouraged to complete a Provide First Aid course, regardless of their work requirements, as it could help you save a life! Provide First Aid gives you the basic skills and knowledge to assist in any emergency situation until further help arrives. You will be trained by qualified trainers and partake in practical training to learn what to do for different emergencies. This course includes CPR training (HLTAID009).

This nationally recognised Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) & CPR course covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Pre-requisites:

Participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and email access. As an assessment requirement of the HLTAID009 unit, participants must be able to perform at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin that is placed on the floor.
