Crowd Controller Refresher with Provide First Aid

On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following unit:

• CPPSEC3101 Manage conflict and security risks through negotiation
• CPPSEC3121 Control persons using empty hand techniques
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Participants must hold a current Queensland Security Licence with Crowd Control/Bodyguard function.

Participants must be physically fit, and able to perform defensive tactic techniques.

Participants must have sufficient skills to read, write and communicate in English. Participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and email access to complete the pre-course online training.

As an assessment requirement of the HLTAID009 unit, participants must be able to perform at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin that is placed on the floor.

Licence & Regulatory Requirements

All Queensland Security Licenses are administered by the Office of Fair Trading.

All participants are encouraged to read through the requirements of a QLD Security Licence Application, as there is additional requirements & fees payable to Office of Fair Trading.

For example, participants must be over the age of 18, must be a fit and proper person, cannot have had any Disqualifying Offences under the criminal code in the last 10 years.

Security Licensing Fees
Total fee for first year is $587.40 due to mandatory fingerprinting and police check.
A mandatory criminal history check must be completed on all applications if one has not been conducted by the Office of Fair Trading within the last 6 months. Fee: $46.90 per person. A mandatory fingerprinting fee is payable when submitting your original application. Fee: $106.00 per person.

Multiple Function (Unrestricted)

• $653.50 for 3 years

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Due to industry and/or licensing requirements RPL is not offered for this statement of attainment.

This course is run as a blend of online learning and face-to-face training.

Pre-course work:

Online/self-paced training (approximately 3-5 hours depending on the individual student and their personal circumstances and other commitments). This training involves reading through modules and passing a final exam. Online training must be completed prior to the face to face training.

Face-to-face work:

1 day classroom (9 hours). Your trainer will revise content, and you will be required to participate in case scenarios and activities that test your practical skills. You will also complete a closed book exam. If you are unable to attend, please contact us for alternative arrangements.

For students who are unable to start at 8am, you have the option of completing the crowd control portion of the course (11am-5pm approximately) on the scheduled date and scheduling your first aid with us to be completed on a different day. Please note that you will not receive your statement of attainment until both the crowd control and first aid portions of the course are completed.
