Frequently Asked Questions

How to apply for a Cert 3 Guarantee?

If you are interested in a Cert III Guarantee funded course, please give us a call on 1300 100 ATI and we will be able to assist you with your application.

Am I eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee if I hold a non-AQF qualification?

If you have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an Australian tertiary institution or university, you’re ineligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee, as these are recognised within the AQF. However, if your certificate level I to Advanced Diploma was issued before the AQF’s introduction in 1995, you’re eligible.

Can I complete more than one Certificate III level qualification through the Certificate 3 Guarantee program?

No, this program allows for only one government-subsidised Certificate III qualification. It’s crucial to consider your course choice carefully, as this commitment uses your one-time entitlement. Certificate III qualifications completed at school and foundation skills courses are not counted against this entitlement.

Can I access the Certificate 3 Guarantee if I'm already completing a Certificate III qualification?

No, you must not hold or be currently studying for a Certificate III or another higher-level qualification, including equivalent training at university or through an apprenticeship or traineeship, to be eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee.
