Crowd Control Refresher (3 units including HLTAID011 Provide First Aid) – $275
Overview:
This course is for those that hold a current Crowd Controller/Bodyguard Queensland Security Licence. Those that hold this licence are required to stay up to date with the latest industry legislation, standards, and techniques. Revalidation training is required to be completed every 3 years.
Pre-requisites:
Participants must hold a current Queensland Security Licence with Crowd Control/Bodyguard function. Participants must be physically fit, and able to perform defensive tactic techniques. Participants must have sufficient skills to read, write and communicate in English. Participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and email access to complete the pre course online training. Mobile phones or tablets are not compatible with the online training portion of this course. As an assessment requirement of the HLTAID009 unit, participants must be able to perform at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin that is placed on the floor.
Licence & Regulatory Requirements:
All Queensland Security Licenses are administered by Office of Fair Trading. All participants are encouraged to read through the requirements of a Queensland Security License application, as there is additional requirements & fee’s payable to Office of Fair Trading. e.g. Must be over the age of 18, must be a fit and proper person, cannot have had any disqualifying offences under the criminal code in the last 10 years.

If you do not require your provide first aid, enrol in Crowd Control Refresher (2 units only).
On successful completion participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following units:
CPPSEC3101 Manage conflict and security risks through negotiation
CPPSEC3121 Control persons using empty hand techniques
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
This course is run as a blend of online learning and face-to-face training.
Pre-course work:
Online/self-paced training (approximately 4-6 hours depending on the individual student and their personal circumstances and other commitments). This training involves reading through modules and passing a final exam. Online training must be completed prior to the face to face training.
Face-to-face work:
1 day classroom (9.5 hours). Your trainer will revise content, and you will be required to participate in case scenarios and activities that test your practical skills. You will also complete a closed book exam. If you are unable to attend consecutive training days, please contact us for alternative arrangements.
For students who are unable to start at 7:30am, you have the option of completing the crowd control portion of the course (11am-5pm approximately) on the scheduled date and scheduling your first aid with us to be completed on a different day. Please note that you will not receive your statement of attainment until both the crowd control and first aid portions of the course are completed.

Recognition of prior learning: Due to licensing requirements RPL is not offered for this statement of attainment.
