White Card | Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake Work Health and Safety (WHS) induction training within the Queensland construction industry. It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of WHS legislative requirements and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry. This course is commonly known as White Card Course training (formerly known as Blue Card training).
All states and territories have agreed to implement the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work which has been declared by Safe Work Australia. The result is a nationally consistent approach to construction induction training given to workers across Australia. It will also mean that White Cards from any Australian state or territory are recognised nationally.
If you wish to be an assessor for the white card unit of competency, you must complete the CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry course to be able to assess students.
On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following unit:
- CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Participants will also receive a Queensland Construction Induction card (White Card)
Students must provide us with 3 documents as Evidence of Identity (EOI) as per the list provided prior to undertaking the White Card training.
Licence & Regulatory Requirements
There are no specific licensing or regulatory requirements for enrolling in or completing this course.
