If you’ve been appointed as a Fire Safety Advisor (FSA) in Queensland, you’re legally required under the Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 to refresh your training every three years. Keeping your certification current not only ensures compliance but also gives you the skills to:

If your Fire Safety Advisor Statement of Attainment has expired (more than 3 years old), you will need to complete the Fire Safety Advisor course course, not the refresher.
On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following units:
Participants MUST provide a current Fire Safety Advisor Statement of Attainment (within 3 years from date of issue) upon enrolment.
Please note that we cannot issue a refresher Statement of Attainment if your current qualification has expired. In such cases, you will be required to complete the full course (additional fees apply).
Licence & Regulatory Requirement:
In Queensland, the requirement for Fire Safety Advisers (FSAs) to complete refresher training every three years is stipulated in Section 34 of the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 (QLD):
Section 34 Appointment of fire safety advisers for high occupancy buildings
(1) Subject to subsections (3) and (4), the occupier of a high occupancy building must appoint a person who holds a current building fire safety qualification as the fire safety adviser for the building.
(6) In this section – current building fire safety qualification means a building fire safety qualification issued within the last 3 years.

Note for International Students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Due to industry and/or licensing requirements RPL is not offered for this statement of attainment.
