Our workplace first response fire training course will ensure that all your employees are suitably trained in the safe use of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets. This training course includes both a theory and a practical component to ensure that your employees can safely handle small workplace fire incidents.

Raising the alarm
Fire safety and evacuation
Classes of fire
Types of fire extinguishers
Safety procedures when fighting fires
Firefighting tactics

Participants will gain hands-on practical experience with fire-fighting equipment (fire extinguisher, fire hose reel and fire blanket). Participants will also be instructed on correct firefighting tactics and safety procedures.

On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following unit:

PUAFER008 Confine small emergencies in a facility

There are no prerequisite requirements for enrolling in or completing this course.

Licence & Regulatory Requirements

Due to industry standards this course is required to be completed every 2 years to stay up to date with the current legislation.
