This nationally recognised training course is suitable to those participants who will be working in or around confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to identify risks, review risk assessments and enter confined spaces in accordance with an issued work permit to conduct work under the relevant legislation and Australian Standards for confined spaces. Participants will complete practical training in a simulated environment using the appropriate PPE and equipment.

It is industry recommendation that participants who obtain this competencies complete recertification training every 2 years

On successful completion participants will be issued with a statement of attainment with the following:
RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined space
MSMPER205 Enter confined space
MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit
MSMPER202 Observe Permit Work
Online/self-paced training (approximately 4-6 hours depending on the individual learner and their personal circumstances and other commitments) this training involves reading, activities and exams. Online training must be completed prior to the face to face training.
2 hours face-to-face (approximately) your trainer will deliver practical training.

Fees include all assessments and resources required in the classroom- Learners must provide their own closed in footwear and wear appropriate clothing.
Note for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
