Australian Training Institute (ATI) – RTO 30200
Australian Training Institute (ATI) provides nationally recognised training through a range of flexible delivery modes. Our delivery options are designed to support different learning styles, work commitments, and industry requirements, while ensuring compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2025.
This page provides a general guide to how training is delivered at ATI. Specific course durations, study requirements, and attendance schedules vary by course and are outlined on individual course pages and booking confirmations.
General Enrolment & Student Portal Requirements
All ATI students, regardless of delivery mode, are required to complete AVETMISS-compliant enrolment through the Student Portal. This process ensures that ATI meets national reporting and certification requirements.
Through the Student Portal, students must:
- Complete onboarding and provide required personal information
- Verify their Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Access learning materials and assessments
- Track progress and receive course updates
Certificates cannot be issued until all enrolment, assessment, and compliance requirements are met.
1. Blended Delivery (Online + Face-to-Face)
Blended Delivery combines online self-paced learning with scheduled face-to-face classroom training. This delivery mode is commonly used for courses that require both theoretical knowledge and practical skill development.
How Blended Delivery Works
Blended courses typically involve:
- Online, self-paced learning completed prior to classroom attendance
- Face-to-face training sessions delivered by an ATI trainer
- Practical activities, demonstrations, and assessments conducted in person
Online learning must be completed within the required timeframe before attending classroom sessions. This ensures students arrive prepared and allows face-to-face time to focus on practical application and assessment.
Important Information for Blended Delivery
- Online study requirements vary by course and are outlined on the relevant course page
- Failure to complete online learning by required deadlines may result in rescheduling or additional fees
- Students must attend face-to-face sessions as scheduled
- Photo identification is required on training days
- Appropriate clothing must be worn for practical activities
2. Online Self-Paced Delivery
Online Self-Paced delivery allows students to complete their training entirely online, without attending a classroom. This option provides maximum flexibility and is suitable for theory-based courses or refresher training.
How Online Self-Paced Training Works
With Online Self-Paced delivery:
- All learning materials and assessments are accessed through the Student Portal
- Students can commence training as soon as enrolment and payment are completed
- Training can be completed at the student’s own pace within the allocated course duration
Course durations and completion timeframes vary and are specified on individual course pages.
Trainer Support & Extensions
Students undertaking Online Self-Paced training have access to trainer support via the Student Portal or email.
If additional time is required to complete a course:
- Extension requests must be submitted before the course access period expires
- Extensions may be subject to an additional fee
- Extension approvals are managed in accordance with the ATI Student Handbook
Students who do not complete their training within the approved timeframe may be required to re-enrol.
3. Face-to-Face Delivery
Face-to-Face delivery is conducted entirely in a classroom or practical training environment, with training led by an ATI trainer. This delivery mode is ideal for students who prefer structured, in-person learning, and direct interaction.
How Face-to-Face Training Works
Face-to-face courses generally include:
- Trainer-led theory sessions
- Practical demonstrations and hands-on activities
- Assessments completed during scheduled class times
Some face-to-face courses may still include online resources or post-class activities, which will be clearly communicated at enrolment.
Training Day Requirements
When attending face-to-face training, students are required to:
- Arrive at least 15 minutes early for registration
- Bring valid photo identification (e.g. Driver’s Licence or Passport)
- Wear appropriate clothing suitable for practical activities
Late arrival may result in refusal of entry and the need to rebook.
Policies, Fees & Student Responsibilities
All ATI delivery modes are governed by policies outlined in the ATI Student Handbook, including:
- Transfers, cancellations, and refunds
- Extensions and re-enrolments
- Student conduct and attendance
- Assessment requirements and appeals
Students are responsible for reviewing and understanding these policies prior to commencing training.
