This is helpful for when you commence employment with a new employer or if you are commencing study with a new training organisation.

Every Australian Training Institute student is required to have a USI before their certificate can be issued.

Where can I find my USI?

If you have not completed any training after 01/01/2015, or do not yet have a USI, you can apply for it using this link

If you have completed training after 01/01/205, you probably will already have a USI – you can retrieve it through the link above and follow the ‘Already have a USI?’ instructions.

  3. Access to an email account

Are all your course qualifications nationally recognised?

Most of our courses are accredited and nationally recognised. These can be identified by a course code on their respective page. Non-accredited courses give you basic knowledge of the industry you’re considering.

Students will receive a certificate that will be recognised wherever they choose to work in Australia. Our nationally accredited courses are also designed in line with relevant Australian standards.

What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment pathway offered by Registered Training Organisations for individuals to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

The RPL pathway recognises that experience can be as valuable as undertaking training.

It substitutes the standard process of undergoing training followed by an assessment. Instead, it certifies individuals who have gained the same knowledge and skills through their experience rather than through a training program.

In cases where an applicant can supply evidence that aligns completely with the requirements of the unit or qualification applied for, ATI can issue the relevant Qualification or Statement of Attainment without the candidate requiring further training/assessment.

Do you offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for your courses?

Recognition of Prior Learning is offered for some courses, with pricing details under each course’s payment information.

If you are unsure if we offer RPL for a course, contact us here for more information.

            What courses do you offer?

We offer courses in security, first aid, fire safety and more. For a full list of all our courses, please click here.

Do First-Aid Statement of Attainments have an expiration?

A standard first aid certificate (HLTAID011) needs to be renewed every 3 years. However, the CPR (HLTAID009) component needs to be renewed every 12 months.

I have a bad knee/back and cannot get on the ground to do CPR, is that going to be a problem?

The unit of competency requires that participants perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. Without this being performed we cannot issue a certificate. The trainer will do everything they can to make it easier such as allowing extra time, providing a chair to assist in getting up or down or providing the opportunity to complete the assessment in private, however, to issue the nationally recognised certificate they must see that task performed.

How long does it take to complete a First Aid course?

We offer a range of First Aid Courses. For those seeking basic knowledge, our Basic First Aid course (HLTAID011) entails 3.5 hours of interactive, face-to-face instruction. The duration of other courses may differ; please refer to the ‘Duration’ tab on each course’s webpage for specific details.

To maximise classroom learning efficiency, many of our First Aid courses incorporate an online training component. This involves engaging with reading modules and completing an assessment exam. This preparatory online segment is designed to reduce classroom time and provide students with an essential understanding of the material before they attend the practical, face-to-face sessions. Participants must complete this online component before they join the in-person training and assessment sessions.

            How much do you charge?

Each of our courses is priced differently, this can be found in the ‘Payment Information’ section on each course page. Alternatively, you can contact our team for more information about our courses and prices.

Can ATI qualifications lead to further study?
