This armed security guard course is designed for individuals who wish to obtain a Queensland Security Guard Employee Weapons Licence and work in the security industry as an armed guard.

Holders of a Queensland Security Guard Employee Licence are required to complete annual recertification to maintain their licence. If you already possess a Security Guard Weapons Licence (QLD) and need a refresher, you can enrol in the Weapons Licence Annual Refresher Course.

On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following units:

Participants must have sufficient skills to read, write and communicate in English, and have access to a computer with internet access.

Licence & Regulatory Requirements

The Security Licence (Guard) – Employee (Cat C, E & H) permits you to carry a weapon while performing security guard duties for a licensed security organisation. However, it does not grant you the authority to acquire firearms.

Applications made for Security Guard Firearms Licences are handled by the Weapons Licencing Branch of the Queensland Police. This service incurs a fee to process, approve and issue licences which is not included in the cost of the course.

Holders of a Queensland Security Guard Employee Licence are required to complete annual recertification to maintain their licence.

Course Price $1150.00
