Fire Extinguisher Training

On successful completion of Fire Extinguisher Course, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following unit:

• PUAFER008 Confine small emergencies in a facility

Clothing Requirements for Live Fire Training

This course includes practical live-fire extinguisher training conducted outdoors (if weather permits). Participants must wear:

• Fully enclosed shoes

Suggested clothing:

• Pants or shorts that will allow freedom of movement- crouching, moving, kneeling (pants preferred, shorts at discretion)
• Close fitting shirt or jacket that will protect arms and shoulders.

Clothing should be a flame resistant and non-melting material. Long hair should be tied well back, or a suitable hat brought to contain it.

Recommended clothing:

• Cotton drill workwear
• Cotton polo shirts
• Cotton t-shirts (but not Cotton Flannel)
• Long-sleeve cotton work shirts
• Denim jeans
• Cotton cargo pants

Licence & Regulatory Requirements

Fire extinguisher refresher training is required every two years to stay up to date with legislation, in accordance with:

• Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 (QLD), Section 36
• Australian Standard AS 3745:2010 – Planning for Emergencies in Facilities

Course Price $110.00

Fees include all assessments and resources needed to complete the course.

Note for International Students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment.  We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
