This nationally recognised course is for participants wishing to gain a Queensland Weapons Licence. Participants will learn essential skills and knowledge relating to firearms legislation, firearms in the community, licensing requirements, safe handling, safe storage and transport as well as a range of additional information that is essential for all shooters.
This course has 2 components: classroom theory based training and a live practical shoot at an approved firing range.
Participants can walk away from this course feeling confident and safe when using firearms.
This course is a part of 11029NAT Course in Firearms and Weapons Safety (Approved for Firearms Licensing in Queensland)

There are no specific prerequisite requirements for enrolling in or completing this course.
Licence & Regulatory Requirements
All Queensland Firearms Licenses are administered by Queensland Police.
All participants are encouraged to read through the requirements of a Queensland Weapons Licence Application prior as there is additional requirements & fees payable to Queensland Police.
Please note that you must submit your licence application within 12 months of completing the course.

Note for International Students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Due to industry and/or licensing requirements RPL is not offered for this statement of attainment.
