BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety

Description

Overview: This nationally accredited qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others. Participants will learn how to identify and consult Work Health and Safety issues and apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable Work Health and Safety problems. This qualification is the minimum requirement recommended by industry for those seeking employment as a WHS Manager, advisor or safety officer. This course was previously known as Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Job titles relevant to this course may include:

  • Work Health and Safety Coordinator
  • Work Health and Safety Officer
  • Work Health and Safety Representative

Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisite units required to enrol into this course under the training package, however participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and e-mail access.

Overview: This nationally accredited Diploma of Work Health and Safety course is suitable for participants who coordinate and maintain the Work Health and Safety program in an organisation.  This is the perfect course for those who have completed a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and would like to advance their current knowledge and skills in providing Work Health and Safety services and also for those who wish to become:

  • Supervisors with significant WHS responsibilities.

Pre-requisites: All core units in BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Description

Overview: This course will benefit participants wishing to become a workplace health and safety representative or involved in workplace health and safety committees. WHS Representatives represents the health and safety interests of a work group. This course is approved by the WHSQ, participants will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out tasks such as workplace inspections, investigate workplace health and safety concerns and issuing of provisional improvement notice (PINS) under the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations. Refresher training for Workplace health and safety representatives is every 12 months.
