Participants will receive hands on practical training by experience qualified trainers.

We teach to the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines, so you can feel confident knowing you skills meet national standards

This course is suitable to all persons whether you are looking at learning or refresh your training.

Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation is known as CPR.

First Aid Training (HLTAID003)

Description
Overview: 

Provide First Aid Training course (previously known as Senior First Aid/Level 2 Apply First Aid) is the minimum requirement under the Workplace Health and Safety Legislation for a workplace first aider.

However, all persons are encouraged to complete a Provide First Aid course, regardless of their work requirements as it could help you save a life!

Provide First Aid gives you the basic skills and knowledge to assist in any emergency situation until further help arrives. You will be trained by qualified trainers and partake in practical training to learn what to do for different emergencies.

Licence & Regulatory Requirements: 

It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) that HLTAID001 Provide CPR is completed every 12 months to remind current and update with the ARC guidelines and every 3 years for HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.

Childcare First Aid

Description

This course gives participants skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. It is most suited to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This course would also benefit sporting organisations or local community groups who do work with young children. Participants will receive practical hands on training with a qualified trainer, to enable them to provide emergency assistance to young children until further help arrives.

Provide Advanced Resuscitation

Overview:

Our Provide Advanced Resuscitation course gives participants the skills and knowledge required to provide advanced resuscitation in an emergency situation.

Participants will learn how to utilise specialised first aid equipment; stabilise a casualty where medical aid has been delayed; maintain life in an unconscious casualty with the use of oxygen equipment; and operate a defibrillator unit in order to maintain life in an adult casualty in cardiac arrest.

Provide Advanced First Aid

Description
Overview: 

Our Provide Advanced First Aid course (HLTAID006) gives participants the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

The unit applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

Participants will learn how to utilise specialised first aid equipment; stabilise a casualty where medical aid has been delayed; maintain life in an unconscious casualty with the use of oxygen equipment; and operate a defibrillator unit in order to maintain life in an adult casualty in cardiac arrest.

Occupational First Aid

Overview:

Our Occupational First Aid course (HLTSS00027) gives participants the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response in complex incidents/emergencies where an Ambulance may be some time away and how to establish and manage the workplace first aid room.

Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) & CPR

Description
Overview:

Our Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) & CPR course covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place.

It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Drug and Alcohol Testing Course

Description
Our Drug and Alcohol Testing training course is a nationally accredited course designed to train people in how to conduct drug and alcohol training. This course will enable learners to understand how to complete Drug and Alcohol testing in the workplace in a safe, legal and ethical manner.

It is a requirement for firms collecting urine or oral fluid samples who wish to meet Australian Standards to have their collectors trained as per the definition of collector under AS/NZS4308:2008 and AS4760:2006.

The structure of your course includes:

  • Outline the responsibilities of a collector and the employee
  • Detail best practice principles to ensure privacy and confidentiality
  • Duty of care, provision of information, fairness, and gender and cultural sensitivity

Anaphylaxis

Description

This course is accredited training that includes information about allergies and anaphylaxis, recognising signs and symptoms, managing and treating an allergic reaction (including administration of an EpiPen® and the AnaPen®) and minimising the risk of exposure to allergens in children’s service. Administer Oxygen in an Emergency Situation

Description

The purpose of the course is to provide the student with the skills and knowledge to appropriately administer oxygen therapy and/or oxygen resuscitation until the arrival of medical assistance. This unit covers competency in advanced techniques for management of the administration of oxygen and ventilation of the lungs in line with the requirements of the Australian Resuscitation Council and State and Territory regulatory bodies.

Operate an automated external defibrillator in an emergency

Description

This unit covers the competency required to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) to defibrillate a casualty in an emergency situation.
This unit includes advanced techniques for management of the administration of an AED in line with the requirements of the Australian Resuscitation Council and State and Territory regulatory bodies. The unit also involves working with personnel who are engaged in the resuscitation of the casualty. Cardio pulmonary resuscitation is covered in the prerequisite unit PUAEME001B Provide emergency care.
