Fire Extinguisher Training

Description

Our Workplace First Response Fire Training Course will ensure that all of your employees are suitably trained in the safe use of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose Reels and Fire Blankets. This training course includes both a theory and a practical component to ensure that your employees can safely handle workplace emergencies.

• PRACTICAL SESSIONS: Using a Fire extinguisher, Fire Hose Reel and Fire Blanket, participants will gain hands-on practical experience with fire-fighting equipment. They will also be instructed in correct Firefighting tactics and safety procedures.

Pre-requisites: Not applicable

Licence & Regulatory Requirements: Due to industry standards this course is required to be completed every 2 years to stay up to date with the current legislations.

Warden – Emergency Control Organisation (ECO)

Description

Our nationally accredited Fire Warden Training program will equip your personnel with the skills required to safely evacuate your workplace. Regular evacuation training will ensure that your personnel are ready to deal with any workplace emergency. Emergencies covered include Fires, Bomb threats, Chemical Incidents and many more. Our Fire and Safety Trainers can also be booked to act as observers / instructors during your Building Evacuation drills. We will prepare a written report after your drill has finished highlighting suggested areas of improvement. We will expand upon previously completed training into more complex scenarios. Students will gain hands-on experience as our instructors conduct building evacuation drills. Practical Drills will be conducted using your evacuation procedures. Our course covers the following subjects:

Chief and Duty Chief Warden

Description

Our nationally recognised Chief Fire Warden training course is designed for persons who are required to perform the role of Chief or Deputy Chief Fire Warden at your workplace. Participants will develop skills to ascertain the extent of onsite workplace emergencies and supervise evacuation of the workplace. Particular attention will be placed on meeting the requirements of Australian Standard 3745-2002 Emergency Control Organisation and procedures for buildings, structures and workplaces and how it applies to all workplaces.

Participants will have an understanding of emergency procedures and will undergo extensive practical drills on controlling workplace emergencies. This Course can be tailored to suit your workplace specific requirements.

Fire Safety Adviser (Queensland)

Description

We offer Fire Safety Adviser training to building occupiers. This training provides participants with the skills and knowledge to carry out the duties of the Fire Safety Adviser, such as; develop risk management strategies and advise on the emergency planning process.
As of 1 July 2009, under the Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008, all high occupancy buildings are legally required to appoint a FSA.
Completion of this course not only satisfies the training requirements for the ‘Fire Safety Adviser’ role under the Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008, but meets the national qualifications in emergency prevention, workplace evacuation and the initial response training required to deal with emergencies in the workplace
